Barcelona Here We Come!

Nicole and I recently returned from the first Europa Village River Cruise for wine lovers, from Barcelona to Paris aboard AmaWaterways “Amadagio.” Anticipation for a trip is one of the best things, and this one did not disappoint! Journey up the Rhône through wine country and enjoy great food? Of course! The chef must attend. Let’s go Nicole! We started in Barcelona on La Bamba Street. Europe is full of historical architecture, so a visit to a basilica is always in order.

In two-and-a-half days, we ate our way through six tapas restaurants and one superb wine bar gourmet menu. Oh, the Spaniards know how to eat and drink. So many different flavor approaches and we really enjoyed the small tastes that enable you to sample even more. We enjoyed three versions of the potato croquette, the favorite being one filled with Iberico ham.
